Blue and White beads


I have been making some blue and white beads to make a bracelet for my friends birthday (she has a blue and white flower print top). I made a pair of simple matching earrings too.

    I especially like the mirror image bead in the top picture. I've been trying to figure out how to do that, and haven't got it yet.

    Also, could you share how you achieved such a pretty navy blue? I've tried and tried, and my dark blues come out terribly muddy.

    You did a wonderful job on these beads - your friend is very lucky!

    My recipe for that blue is 12 parts blue Kato, 12 parts Violet Kato and 1 part black Kato.

    The mirror image one is a Natasha bead made from some off cuts.
